12月14日，由海淀區(qū)教委國際交流與合作辦公室主辦的“2018年度海淀區(qū)優(yōu)秀外籍教師和外教管理團(tuán)隊(duì)頒獎(jiǎng)典禮”在北京市十一學(xué)校舉行，來自海淀區(qū)的各位優(yōu)秀外籍教師及外教管理團(tuán)隊(duì)匯聚一堂。來自清華附中國際部的老師們在海淀區(qū)近60所中小學(xué)的500余外籍教師中脫穎而出，榮獲最多獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。其中，國際部團(tuán)隊(duì)獲得了海淀區(qū)優(yōu)秀外教管理團(tuán)隊(duì)獎(jiǎng)，來自國際部的Daniel Arias 老師獲得了杰出外教獎(jiǎng)，Robert Williams老師獲得了優(yōu)秀外教獎(jiǎng)。清華附中國際部踐行中西合璧育英才的教育理念，強(qiáng)調(diào)以中國文化為根基，包容不同文化，老師專業(yè)敬業(yè)，團(tuán)隊(duì)和諧向上。在這樣積極的氛圍中，國際部日漸成長壯大，教育教學(xué)水平和辦學(xué)成果得到社會(huì)的廣泛認(rèn)可，在國際學(xué)校中的地位和影響力也日益增強(qiáng)。

On December 14, the " Award Ceremony for International Teacher of the Year 2018 and the Excellent Administrator Team of International Teacher" hosted by the Education Commission of Haidian District was held at Beijing National Day school. Many excellent foreign teachers and Administrator Teams from Haidian district gathered together. THIS was well represented among the winners. Teachers from THIS stood out among more than 500 foreign teachers from nearly 60 primary and secondary schools in Haidian district. Daniel Arias from THIS won the Outstanding International Educators award and Robert Williams won the Excellent International Teachers award. The THIS family was very proud to have these two stellar teachers represent the school. They embody all that it means to embrace Western and Eastern cultures in educating children.

THIS won the award of the Excellent Administrator Team of International Teachers and Schools. THIS administrators are pleased to be recognized for all the work that has gone into building THIS the past ten years; but it is also further encouragement to the THIS Administrator team to continue to make progress, maintain the professional and dedicated work spirit, and lead the school toward a prosperous future.

Robert Williams

Mr. Williams was a classroom teacher, curriculum specialist, and school administrator in Houston, Texas for more than 20 years. At Tsinghua International School, he is one of the co-sponsor of STEAM Lad. He is always at work, always prepared, always willing to lend a hand where needed.

Mr. Arias is among the best teachers you have ever had the privilege to work with. He is creative, positive, innovative and always willing to better develop his craft, reflect upon and incorporate feedback, and go the extra mile in working with students. He epitomizes"Tsinghua Spirit". He exemplifies what it means to be a model teacher.

主題沙龍

外籍教師頒獎(jiǎng)結(jié)束之后，“面向未來的學(xué)生培養(yǎng)與國際視野下的課堂教學(xué)”主題沙龍召開，由清華附中國際部李文平校長主持，5名“杰出外教獎(jiǎng)”獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)邊⑴c。李校長從教育教學(xué)、學(xué)校管理、中國情懷等方面拋出問題，在座外教互相交流探討，現(xiàn)場氣氛熱烈。

在問到為何能在清華附中國際部工作長達(dá)7年的時(shí)候，Daniel老師講述了他被中國學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情所感染，更被國際部團(tuán)結(jié)向上的氛圍所激勵(lì)，并決定一直留在這里的故事。他動(dòng)情地說每天來上班就像回家一樣，沒有其他任何一個(gè)地方能像國際部一樣溫暖。觀眾們被外教老師深情的回答所感動(dòng)，不時(shí)發(fā)出陣陣掌聲。

Part of the program included Principal Li Wenping of THIS interviewing the 5 outstanding foreign teachers about their ideas as they related to the theme, "Educating Students for the 21st Century with Global Perspective ". Principal Li asked 5 questions to them, and the foreign teachers exchanged their views and discussed together. When asked why he stayed at THIS for 7 years, teacher Daniel Arias explained how he was impressed by the enthusiasm of acquiring knowledge from Chinese students. Mr. Arias said that coming to work every day was like going home. Nowhere else could it be as warm as THIS. The audience was deeply touched by his love to the school, and gave him a big hand.

Tsinghua International School (THIS) was established by Tsinghua University a decade ago. It is an international school that seeks to meet the educational needs of Chinese overseas returnees’ children.
