其中校友網絡應該是最給力的一個了。美國人的母校情節很深，同一個學校畢業的大家都愿意互幫互助，讓自己的校友更牛，自己學校就顯得更牛，自己就顯得更牛。這就是為什么校友互相幫助的幾率很大，童鞋們不要害羞，該出手的時候就出手。

有同學說，我不害羞，可是我發了郵件確實木有人理我啊！難道隔著郵件都能看出我顏值低沒前途，直接被鄙視嗎？

發了networking郵件從來沒有人回復，只有可能是兩種情況，一是發的不對，二是發的不夠。接下來一步一步講，大伙兒可以對照一下。

一條人脈從建立到最終幫到你可能會花很長時間，所以不要因為沒有立竿見影而灰心喪氣，播下的種子需要時間去發芽。這也是為什么我們會一直強調開始networking要趁早。

Industry = Financial Services (Linkedin里面還有很多金融細分行業，比如Banking （銀行業），Capital markets （資本市場）Investment banking （投資銀行），Investment management （投資管理）還有Venture Capital and Private Equity （風險投資或私募基金），如果你對某個細分行業更感興趣，可以選擇這些，如果你還沒有目標，可以從Financial Services開始。)

Location = Greater Chicago Area

然后你就可以一個一個點進去查看對方的信息了。

這種人也很好辨認，比如他的聯系人有500+，比如他有好幾個recommendation，比如他的每條經歷都寫的很飽滿，這樣的人一看就很用心的在打理自己的Linkedin，也就更可能回復你。相比有些人雖然title很大，但Linkedin上只有職位和公司名稱，聯系人也只有一兩百人，那可能表示ta很少用Linkedin，你的郵件石沉大海也就不足為奇了。

不要短視，尤其在你還沒有什么人脈的時候，積極撒種日后才能豐收。

那我為什么要接受邀請啊？我忙的很，我可沒時間去翻你的Linkedin profile看你到底何方神圣。

這么簡單的道理，可惜的是99%的人都是這么做的。你的Linkedin invite應該讓對方知道兩件事：

2.你為啥要聯系ta。

I'm currently a graduate student at University of XXX majoring in Finance. I'm interested in a career in the ZZZ industry, and I saw that you graduated from the same program and currently work at company AAA. I would like to connect with you to learn more about your industry.

有人接受我的Linkedin邀請了！接下來怎么辦？恭喜你打怪過了第一關。接下來就是約人家聊天啦！

像下面這樣問法，是要避免的：

傾訴找到了一個校友如何開心，看到校友找到了工作如何受鼓舞，然后噼里啪啦問5,6個問題：你能否給我講一下你是怎么找到工作的？你的工作是做什么的？需要什么技能？你對我求職有什么建議？我簡歷給你附上了你能幫我看看提點意見嗎？...

2.發出一個非常簡單利索的請求，比如邀請人家聊15分鐘或者喝一杯咖啡。

你可以這么說：

Thank you for accepting my Linkedin invitation. I am currently studying in the Master in Finance program at XXX University and will be graduating next June. I have a strong interest in equity research. I have taken multiple classes and participated in the valuation competition at school. I noticed that you graduated from the same program and currently work as a buyside equity analyst. I was wondering if you'd be able to give me 15 minutes of your time on the phone, or allow me to buy you a cup of coffee for an informational interview to learn about the industry and your company.

在美國，推薦一個人是很嚴肅的事情，關乎到自己的名聲。如果不夠了解你但盲目推薦，最后你面試一塌糊涂，那推薦人自己臉上多掛不住啊！所以一般人推薦都會比較謹慎，見過面打過交道是最起碼的要求。
