可以看到，官方給出的時(shí)間段會(huì)有重合，Period 4 從1800年開始，強(qiáng)調(diào)美國南北戰(zhàn)爭前的改革和社會(huì)變化，這個(gè)時(shí)間段以1848年的Seneca Falls Convention塞內(nèi)卡福爾斯會(huì)議為結(jié)束標(biāo)志。Period 5， 開始于1844年，側(cè)重“天命論”思想下的領(lǐng)土擴(kuò)張如何引起更激烈的奴隸制問題，直至內(nèi)戰(zhàn)結(jié)束和戰(zhàn)后重建。Period 6 從內(nèi)戰(zhàn)結(jié)束的1865年開始到1898年的西班牙-美國戰(zhàn)爭結(jié)束。

這本書就是College Board官方出版的，專門給大家講述美國歷史和世界歷史的準(zhǔn)備方式的教材，這本書的最大賣點(diǎn)就是官方，里面的真題數(shù)量并不是特別多，但是好在能夠給大家一個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)，看看真考的題目的難度到底是怎樣的。

這本書就是最好最全的美國歷史備考教材，作為想要CR高分的同學(xué)的泛讀材料。但是這本書好, 大, 全的特點(diǎn)也讓這本書對(duì)于只需要參加SAT2考試而不是AP考試的同學(xué)覺得過于細(xì)節(jié) 建議大家可以仔細(xì)想想要不要使用這本教材，如果真的覺得太厚，可以用下面的那本美國歷史的Direct Hits和中文的一些美國歷史讀物來代替。

這本書，我覺得其實(shí)是這三本美國歷史教材中最有價(jià)值也是最有效率的一本，這本書的作者，就是SAT最好的單詞書Direct Hits的作者，Larry Krieger，他曾經(jīng)參加過110次SAT考試，這么多的考試經(jīng)歷讓他能夠觸摸到考試的細(xì)微變化，也讓他成為了全美最權(quán)威的SAT備考的Tutor，他本身的大學(xué)專業(yè)是History，所以他教授所有的SAT2和AP的歷史類課程，這本書可以說是他的心血之作，值得所有需要去參加美國歷史考試的同學(xué)仔細(xì)讀一讀。
