建筑學(xué)，從廣義上來說，是研究建筑及其環(huán)境的學(xué)科。建筑學(xué)是一門橫跨工程技術(shù)和人文藝術(shù)的學(xué)科。

建筑學(xué)所涉及的建筑藝術(shù)和建筑技術(shù)、以及作為實(shí)用藝術(shù)的建筑藝術(shù)所包括的美學(xué)的一面和實(shí)用的一面，它們雖有明確的不同但又密切聯(lián)系，并且其分量隨具體情況和建筑物的不同而大不相同。

Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and other physical structures.

Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art.

A Level課程建議：Art, Maths, Physics, History，English

選擇理由：建筑系的學(xué)生需要多方面技能，使設(shè)計(jì)風(fēng)格與工程要求相協(xié)調(diào)，這就需要學(xué)習(xí)藝術(shù)與數(shù)學(xué)，History 和English可以提高寫作能力，總的來說，建筑學(xué)是一門要求苛刻的專業(yè)。

1、倫敦大學(xué)學(xué)院

A Level：AAB，沒有科目要求，但最好是Art, Maths和English

2、劍橋大學(xué)

A Level：A*AA

Required by some Colleges: A Level/IB Higher Level arts/science mix; one or more of A Level/IB Higher Level Art, Graphic Design, History of Art, Mathematics or Physics.

3、曼徹斯特大學(xué)

A Level：AAA

Mixture of science/maths and humanities/arts subjects preferred. Many candidates offer Art/Art related A levels - but it is not essential.

4、卡迪夫大學(xué)

A Level：AAA

We prefer a good academic base with a balance of skills in visual arts, sciences and writing.

General Studies, Critical Thinking and PE are not considered.

5、巴斯大學(xué)

A Level：A*AA
